ABOUT THE ARTIST:

My formal training is in Graphic Design but, my true passion has always been fine art. I discovered my calling for portraiture a few years ago. My father's beloved boxer had recently passed away and he asked me for a drawing to memorialize him. Realizing the unique gift I was able to give him from my artistic ability was a defining moment. I reached back to the skills I developed in anatomy/figure drawing classes from college and started studying other pencil artists techniques. I started practicing what I had learned to create more gifts for my family, eventually earning commissions for pencil portraits of pets and loved ones. The happiness my portraits have brought is one of my greatest treasures.
