ARTIST STATEMENT:
I turn hard shell gourds into one of a kind works of art...featuring a wide range of elegant, practical, whimsical or useable hand-crafted designs including vessels, bowls, lamps, purses and more. Dried hardshell gourds have been my primary medium for many years. I love the history, developmental process from seed to dried gourd, as well as their organic nature. Each gourd "speaks" to me — their unique shapes, mold pattern/design, shell thickness play a part in inspiring my creations.www.hollywatches.me
My work has been sold in various local shops and galleries in the Cleveland area,
as well as local and regional art shows. I was co-owner of 2 art cooperative galleries in the past. I am also a Registered Nurse and have worked for 35 years at Cleveland area hospitals.
